A wall before me
That wall is illusion
Through the wall

Flying now
There’s a tree
Perhaps a spruce tree
Up through the tree

Below me
into a lake do slopes descend
And ahead
there’s a mountainous ridge
like a primeval spear
fencing the waters

Over the ridge
another lake
larger, breathtaking

To the west
water seeps into lowlands
My dad’s old van
sitting in the shallows

Sovereignty ebbs
There’s a tug
pulling me to the right

and soar upwards
Skyward now
The world is somewhere below

What now?
Plummet of course
through the air

And I wake
into a previous dream
There slumbering
Mighty illusion
